B2 – our continued commitment to Philanthropy

This year we have raised a total of £2303.76 with more to come from Christmas jumper Day!
‘Pay it forward’. The phrase may have been coined by Lily Hardy Hammond in her 1916 book “In the garden of delight” and also made famous by the recent Hollywood film yet we don’t need to be a literary genius or extraordinary film producer to make a difference in people’s lives.
At B2 it’s our job to connect people and not only do we value and embrace our clients and employees we also recognize the importance of giving back to the wider community. When you invest in us, you ‘pay it forward.’
No organization operates in isolation. There is interaction with employees, customers, suppliers and stakeholders. We have a corporate conscience and, by managing these key relationships to produce an overall positive impact we are able in some way or another, to ‘pay it forward.’
It’s more than just donating money or printing double sided to save trees. It’s about contributing to the health and welfare of society, operating transparently and ethically.
Even the smallest of office-based businesses can make a difference. It is reported that the average office worker uses around 11 pieces of paper a day, are you recycling as much as you could? Did you know that leaving your PC monitor on overnight is the equivalent of printing 800 A4 pages?
Sometimes it’s not all about just raising money and also thinking sustainably, giving up one’s time or sharing products or services could be of benefit to others too. We all have something to contribute to society, what could you be doing?

How B2 have contributed so far:

We provided high tech state of the art digital print solutions for the recent Wales GB Rally; the nerve centre and pivotal point to the events success through the provision of our products and services. Having a positive impact in the community and adding real value not only through our IT and Business solutions but through our people with the services we provide. Through those people we can collaborate to make a real difference by raising money for those less fortunate than ourselves.

B2 take on the 3 Peak Challenge
On June 9th, we took on the 3 Peaks. Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon. We proudly raised £1898.26 for Cancer Research the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. They are fighting cancer on all fronts, finding new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat it to save more lives. They are funded entirely by the public and with everyone’s help they can ensure more people beat cancer.

Jeans for Genes!
With only a £2 donation – we raised a snazzy £60.00 from our Jeans for Genes day held on the 22nd September!
There are between 4,000 – 6,000 diagnosed genetic disorders and 1 in 25 children are affected by a genetic disorder.
The money raised from the event will be used to improve the lives of children affected by genetic disorders through the utilisation of grants, learning resources and much need and continual research in this field. We are proud to have been a part of this worthy cause!

Macmillan coffee morning!
Now this surely has to be the world’s best excuse to eat cakes and lots of them! On Friday 29th September we raised a scorching £185.50 during our Macmillan’s coffee morning
It’s always nice to have a slice, but with one of our cuppas and the benefit of helping a noble charity like Macmillan Cancer Research – you can well afford those extra calories!

Wear it Pink!

Wear your Christmas jumpers for Save the Children – Friday 15th December
With the countdown to Christmas firmly at our heels, what better way to close off with our final event of the year – and one more opportunity to get some wear out of your (hopefully) new Christmas jumper! Competitive ‘festive apparel’ season is firmly upon us and what better way to gloat than to participate in raising funds for this noble cause.
Regular support helps children survive, learn and be protected around the world, so get involved and help make the world better with a sweater.
