30-04-2010 | B2 scoops top business award for second time in three years

A North Wales firm is celebrating having been named the top outlet in the UK and the North of England for provision and servicing of office equipment, for the second time in two years. b2 business systems, which has offices in Deeside and Bangor, was named Concessionaire of the Year by global market leader, Xerox. They were presented with the award by TV’s Fifth Gear motoring programme presenter Quentin Wilson, special guest at the Xerox annual awards night. b2 was up against 37 other businesses vying to win the title, including several much larger companies. The award is based on business results, business growth and adherence to Xerox’s high standards. Xerox Business Development Manager, Tracy McMullen, praised the professionalism of the b2 team. She said: “Xerox sets all partners revenue targets at the beginning of the year and b2 met the target for 2009 in one of the most difficult trading years in recent history, something that many of our partners failed to achieve.” This is the second triumph in three years for b2. They last won the Xerox Concessionaire of the Year regional title in 2008. The award scheme has been running since 1993 and is open to all Xerox partners – businesses whose yearly turnovers range from £250,000 to £20m. b2 owner and Managing Director, Paul Rutt, said: “This award is a tribute to the hard work of our entire team. It is recognition of the dedication we have put in and every employee’s willingness to go the extra mile in ensuring clients are provided with an office equipment network exactly tailored to their individual needs.” Tracy said the fact that b2 successfully rose to the challenges of the last year was testimony to its commitment to developing customer loyalty, long-standing relationships with clients and unrivalled standards of service. “They clearly demonstrate dedication to customer satisfaction levels which exceed our requirements. It is always the people within a business that enable it to succeed over and above the high expectations set by Xerox. The people at b2 consistently demonstrate how committed they are to experience and this is one of the key reasons for their success.” The competition was judged by members of the Xerox UK Board of Directors and the award was presented at a celebration dinner at the Forest of Arden Hotel, Warwickshire. b2’s clients range from sole traders to multi-nationals. It is also one of just two Xerox concessionaires in the UK permitted to supply directly to local authorities and schools. b2’s most popular service is a document audit, which identifies where organisations can distribute and print, rather than print and distribute. Its most popular products are multi-functional devices, which copy, print and scan using a single machine. The business was founded by Paul Rutt in 1991 and also has divisions providing IT system design and installation, and office supplies. It employs 30 at offices in Parc Menai, Bangor, and Deeside Industrial Park.
